The Aquatic Life twist-in 100 gpd 4-stage reverse osmosis deionization system is a compact water purification solution that efficiently combines reverse osmosis and deionization technology with quick and easy to change twist-in replacement filter cartridges. This new twist-in media cartridge design makes filter changes simple, easy, and clean – no tools required and no mess! The twist-in cartridges can be easily changed in seconds with just a quarter turn and without contact with used filter material, and the supply water to the unit does not have to be turned off to replace any cartridge.

The first stage of the reverse osmosis deionization unit is a 5-micron sediment filter that traps sediment and other particulate matter like dirt, silt, and rust, which will affect the taste and appearance of the water. This sediment filter should be replaced every 6 months. The second stage is a carbon block filter, which reduces chlorine by 99% and conditions the water prior to the membrane. This carbon block filter should also be replaced every 6 months.

The reverse osmosis membrane is the third stage, reducing impurities known as total dissolved solids from the water down to 1/10,000 of a micron, including the removal of arsenic, lead, parasitic cysts, and copper. This membrane should be replaced every 1-2 years. The final stage is a color-changing mixed bed resin that filters the water to remove any remaining total dissolved solids. As the resin absorbs the TDS, it will change color, and the resin cartridge should be replaced when the color change is complete.

The assembled product dimensions are 13" wide x 4" deep x 13" high, and the weight is 7 lbs. The twist-in cartridges allow for fast and easy replacement of the filter media, and the triple-sealed cartridges ensure trouble-free operation. The system includes everything needed for installation, such as tubing, water supply connectors, and a drain connector.

Due to the high city water sediment in New York City, additional pre-filtration is required before use. The deionization resin removes total dissolved solids and changes color when it's time to replace the cartridge.
